I finally received the CoCo 3s I ordered awhile ago. One for my collection and another to play around with.
1 brand new in box unit. It looks perfect. The manuals are still bagged, the cables are factory wrapped. And the box looks brand new. It is tough to find a CoCo with a nice box, because they are white the boxes fade easily and dust stains them. But this one looks like it was kept inside another box and is spotless. I unwrapped it enough to make sure it works but otherwise it has never been used.
1 refurbished unit. It arrived working, which I suppose is the important thing. Though it was not completely clean. Had a couple smudges and dust in the ports and in the keyboard. Easily cleaned though.
I may be overly critical of dirty equipment when it comes back from a shop. Back when I was a technician we were never allowed to have a unit leave the shop dirty. No matter the condition they arrived they had to be very clean when they left. That was along time ago though, maybe 15 to 20 years. I started in a small independent computer repair shop and later worked for Nintendo. Things may have changed since then. lol
